About

Bendigo Oral Health and Dentistry Society (BOHDS) is a student-run club comprising of mainly students studying courses with an oral health background. This club began in 2009 under the Bendigo Students Association (BSA) and was created as a club for dentistry and oral health students studying at La Trobe University in Bendigo. Each year brings an additional 80 dentistry and oral health students studying Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Dentistry and Bachelor of Oral Health respectively. Although the club is relatively young, it has strong support from both the students and faculty at La Trobe.

BOHDS aims to support the students in their social and academic lives thoughout university and closely work with the Health Sciences faculty in this regard. It also organises many events to help relieve stress after a long day of lectures, as well as strengthening friendships. They also allow students from different year levels to interact, something that does not often happen during the university schedule.

Without the input of students and their active participation in the club’s activities, BOHDS would not exist.
